MOSCOW -- Russian President Vladimir Putin will fly to The Netherlands to meet European leaders later this month, Interfax news agency said Thursday.
The next Russia-EU summit will take place in the Dutch capital The Hague Nov. 25, Interfax said. It cited an announcement by the Kremlin's own presidential press service.
"In accordance with the agreement we have reached, the 14th Russia-EU top-level meeting will take place on Nov. 25, 2005, in The Hague. Russian President Vladimir Putin will take part in the meeting," the press service said in a statement.
Since becoming president nearly five years ago, Putin has sought to improve Russia's relations with the European Union, which now numbers 25 member nations.
