TEHRAN -- Iran has suspended work on nuclear technology that the United States warned could be used to make weapons, the CBC reported Sunday.
The country sent a letter outlining the decision to the International Atomic Energy Association, the United Nations' nuclear watchdog, Iranian diplomats said. Iran pledged to stop its uranium enrichment activities and related work.
Iran has been negotiating with the European Union to determine what steps it could take to avoid U.N. sanctions over its nuclear program.
