ORLANDO, Fla. -- Sen. John Kerry is in Florida -- the first of four states where he campaigns Monday -- to start the final day of his two-year campaign for the presidency.
Kerry, D-Mass., campaigns in Florida, Wisconsin, Michigan and Ohio one day before Election Day. He is expected to draw on difference between his proposed policies on domestic issues and those of President Bush.
Polls have consistently shown Tuesday's election too close to call, with the battle over Electoral College votes coming down to a handful of states -- the ones both candidates will be barnstorming Monday.
"The world is waiting for us to lead again," Kerry told supporters at his campaign stops Sunday. "I know you will make the choice that will help us take this country to a stronger place and the world to a safer place."
Kerry last week consistently hit Bush on his Iraq polices, especially after reports hundreds of tons of high explosive material was missing, but toned that down during the weekend -- and was likely to keep that more positive stance to woo undecided voters who say they are turned off the campaign's negative turn.
